What does it cost to check an overseas distributor?
There is no useful single price until you know the question being answered. Compare the scope, evidence and responsibility before comparing fees.
A registry search, a credit report and a legal review buy different answers. A low price is useful only if the work covers the decision in front of you. Ask each provider for the deliverable, sources, exclusions and named responsibility.
Compare what you receive
Use a database search for the records it actually contains. Ask a credit-report provider which financial information and assessment are included. Engage qualified counsel for legal advice on the agreement. A broader market-entry assignment may cover market selection or partner search; confirm that scope. The U.S. Commercial Service also offers company background checks, subject to its eligibility and service terms.
Where the Tradezur fee fits
Tradezur charges USD 2,900 for the standard eligible scope: one distributor, one product family of up to three related models, one destination and one appointment decision. Available sources and required specialist review are confirmed before acceptance. The deliverable combines findings, cost assumptions, open questions and next actions, with a written recommendation and readout.
Avoid paying twice for the same answer
If an existing adviser already connects those findings for your appointment, an additional Check may add little. Ask what remains unanswered. Other Tradezur scopes are quoted separately, with reasons; the Check is not a credit rating, legal opinion or customs-filing service.
General decision guidance. Product-specific requirements and legal terms need appropriately qualified advice.
